Stephanie Pilick

Stephanie Pilick (born February 21, 1968 in Cologne ) is a German photographer and photojournalist.

She grew up in Durlach . After graduating from high school, she trained as a photographer in Karlsruhe from 1990–1993 , she moved to Cologne and worked as a photo assistant. She studied communication design at the Folkwang School in Essen . After completing her photojournalist traineeship at the German Press Agency ( dpa ), she worked from January to March 1996 as a photo reporter for the dpa on the deployment of the German Armed Forces in the former Yugoslavia . From April 1996 photojournalist in the picture center of dpa Frankfurt and since April 2000 in the capital office of dpa Berlin. In 2001 she received first prize at the Rückblende - political photography in Germany with a photo series by Edmund Stoiber and Angela Merkel for the candidacy for chancellor, which was printed in the news magazine Der Spiegel .
