Stephen D. King

Stephen D. King (born November 19, 1963 ) is a British economist.

Life

Stephen D. King studied economics at New College in Oxford and then worked as an economist at HM Treasury . From 1998 to 2015 he was chief economist of the HSBC Group in London and has since worked for HSBC as a senior consultant. He is a member of the Financial Times 'Economists' Forum . King was Asia Advisor to the UK Government from 2010 to 2014 and was consulted on parliamentary committees.

His first book on economic policy was published in 2010, his second When the Money Runs Out was a 2013 Financial Times Book of the Year.
