Career
The midfielder has played for Manchester City since he was 15 . In August 2010, he moved to Aston Villa. During the 2010/11 winter break, Ireland was loaned to Newcastle United until the end of the season .
For the 2013/14 season, Ireland was loaned to Stoke City and finally signed in January 2014.
