Stephen Quest

Stephen Quest (* in Kent ) is a UK EU official who has headed the European Commission's Joint Research Center since 2020 .

Live and act

Stephen Quest graduated from York University with a degree in history in 1986 . He then initially worked in the British Ministry of Labor and in the British Mission to the EU. He joined their service in 1993, where he held various positions up to General Director of the General Directorate for Data Processing (DG DIGIT) from March 2013. Between January 2016 and April 2020, he succeeded Heinz Zourek as the General Directorate for Taxes and Customs Union (DG TAXUD).
