Quilted jacket

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A quilted jacket is made of quilted or padded fabric and serves as a fashionable, functional item of clothing . It goes back to the American Steve Gulyas, who developed the jacket during his time as a pilot in the US Air Force in the 1950s as special clothing for the US Air Force. Following his military career, Gulyas settled in Tostock, England, where he further developed the quilted jacket as private clothing for high society . In 1965 he brought the so-called "Husky jacket" onto the market.
