Tillmann examiner
Tillmann Prüfer (* 1974 in Mainz ) is a German journalist .
Life
Prüfer's great-grandfather was the German missionary Bruno Gutmann , in whose footsteps he followed and published a book about it in 2015; his brother is the author and journalist Benjamin Prüfer .
After receiving a scholarship from the German Karl Gerold Foundation in Frankfurt , Prüfer attended the German School of Journalism in Munich and then studied journalism at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .
He has been a member of the editorial team of Financial Times Deutschland since the newspaper was launched in 2000, most recently as deputy head of the Agenda reporting department . In March 2007 he moved to the founding editorial team of ZEITmagazin Leben , a magazine for the Hamburg weekly newspaper Die Zeit .
In November 2003, Tillmann Prüfer was awarded the Young Talent Prize of the Holtzbrinck Prize for Business Journalism. In March 2004, a report by him about a self-experiment in wellness was awarded the Columbus Prize of the Association of German Travel Journalists . In January 2008 he was awarded the young talent prize of the COR Prize for Design Journalism, and in March of the same year an article by him in ZEITmagazin Leben received the German Fashion Award from the German Fashion Association.
He worked as a columnist for the Financial Times Deutschland and is an editor for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit . Prüfer writes humorous and comical columns about the everyday life of Germans. In 2010 he received the glossary award "Blessing" for a gloss that appeared in the Financial Times Deutschland . He was also the co-author of the weekly comic series Rezession und Frohsinn in the Financial Times Germany and author of the regular column No Thanks. in the NEON .
Prüfer is the father of four daughters, about whom he reports in the ZEIT magazine in the form of a column.
