Steve Molitor

Steve Molitor (* 4. April 1980 in Sarnia , Canada ) is a former Canadian boxer in the super bantamweight . He was managed by James Jardine and trained by Dewith Frazier , among others .

On May 18, 2000, he successfully made his professional debut. On November 10, 2006, he became world champion of the IBF when he defeated Michael Hunter by classic knockout in round 5. He defended this belt five times in a row and lost it to Celestino Caballero in November 2008 .

On March 27, 2010 he boxed against Takalani Ndlovu again for the IBF world title. Molitor was able to win this fight unanimously on points and thus conquered this belt for the second time. In September of the same year he defended the title against Jason Booth by majority decision and lost it the following year in the rematch against Takalani Ndlovu on points.

In 2012 he ended his career.
