Steven Cozza (born March 3, 1985 in Petaluma , California ) is an American cyclist .

Athletic career

Steven Cozza finished third in the 2003 US Junior Time Trial Championship. In 2005 he won the title in the U23 class. He also won a stage in the Tour de Nez . In 2006 he started with the Belgian Continental Team Yawadoo-Colba-ABM and from 2007 drove for Slipstream-Chipotle . At the Tour of Missouri 2007 he won the junior ranking and won a stage of the Vuelta a Chihuahua that same year .

In 2011, Cozza moved to Team NetApp to establish himself as a leader. However, he was unable to fulfill these hopes due to persistent health problems. In February 2012, he announced that he was taking a break from professional cycling in order to recover from a colitis disease.

However, Cozza did not return to cycling and is now (as of 2018) as a real estate agent. In addition to his professional activity, he is involved in the Race for Kids , a charity race for the benefit of children with cancer.
