Stiaraval ( Gaelic : Stiarabhal ) is a hill on the Scottish Hebridean island of Benbecula . The 54 m high elevation is about 3.5 km northeast of the settlement of Griminish , about one kilometer south of Loch Olavat . Despite the low altitude, Stiaraval is the second highest elevation on Benbecula after Ruaval . Stiaraval is located in the sparsely populated interior of the island, is overgrown with grass and has no buildings.
The chamber tomb of Stiaraval ( English Stiaraval Chambered Cairn ) is located on the southern slope of the hill. The entrance was in the southeast and the passage (of which only the north side remains) leads to the remains of a round chamber.
