Stitch
The Stibich (also Stübich) was a volume measure in the charcoal trade in Austria .
The exception was Styria , where after the Innerberger Faß with 5 Metzen or Vorderberger Faß with 4 Metzen was expected. The term stands for barrel and was also called Stiwich.
- 1 Stibich = 2 Metzen (Wiener) = 3.9 cubic feet (Wiener) = 122.998 liters
- 1 Wiener Metze = 1.9471 Viennese cubic feet = 3100.3344 Parisian cubic inches = 61,499.3695 cubic centimeters
The Kohlenstibich / Stübisch was introduced as a legal coal measure on December 1st, 1570 .
