Development history

DIGGER D-250_3

The armored device developed by Digger can withstand explosions , but is light enough to be transported in regions where the traffic routes are very far from western standards.

In order to guarantee the safety of the operator, the vehicle is controlled remotely so that he has a sufficient distance from the danger zone. The vehicle is equipped with a device that clears even the thickest vegetation and grinds the soil to a depth of 25 cm. This method neutralizes mines and at the same time prepares the terrain for a subsequent inspection under optimal conditions. It is this last phase that allows the zone to be declared definitely secured, in accordance with the extremely strict standards in force for humanitarian demining.

In addition to her active role on site, Digger is committed to pointing out the problems of mines at many conferences. To this end, Digger set up a museum in May 2011.

The Digger Expo is at the same location as the production in Tavannes. To mark the 20th anniversary of the foundation, a number of exhibition days for the Digger Expo were announced in 2018.
