The Orgelklang Foundation of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) is the first foundation that is exclusively concerned with maintaining organs . It was founded in 2008 and is based in the EKD Church Office in Hanover-Herrenhausen .

tasks

The foundation is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of historical organs. Every year, money is made available from the proceeds of the foundation's assets as well as donations received to secure and restore organs. The foundation's assets consist of a contribution from the EKD, which can be increased by further donations. Between 2010 and 2012, 59 funding commitments were made for almost 400,000 euros. In 2012, 21 historic organs were funded with 133,622 euros. An organ of the month is presented on the foundation's website every month.
