The Stigant Point is a striking and 65 m high headland on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 10 km southwest of Davey Point on the John Paul II Coast and marks the northeast boundary of the entrance to Grzybowski Bay .
The headland was mapped in 1935 by scientists from the British Discovery Investigations . It is named after George Bertie Stigant (1889–1973), cartographer of the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office between 1935 and 1951.
