The company was founded in 1997 by the meteorologist and television presenter Siri Kalvig in cooperation with TV 2 . In April 1998 it delivered the first weather forecast. As Norway 's first private company providing weather data, StormGeo also works with companies in the renewable energy , offshore and media industries . In Scandinavia , with over 70 employees, it is the market leader in its field. Offices can be found in Norway, Sweden , Denmark and the UK .
