Stormfall: Age of War is a mobile social game created by Plarium and published on Facebook in November 2012 . Plarium introduced Stormfall: Rise of Balur as a sequel.

Gameplay and storyline

Stormfall: Age of War challenges players to build an army and a castle in the kingdom of Darkshine. Players must use strategic skills to build castles, manage resources, and participate in player-versus-player warfare under the leadership of Lord Oberon, the protector of Stormfall. The game has a top-down isometric camera angle and 2D retro-style graphics . Players' military units can raid enemy bases, defend their own base and be used to participate in group warfare in a league system.

music

The game has a fully edited soundtrack , with sound composed and produced by BAFTA winner Jesper Kyd . The pieces Stormfall and Barbarians & Dragons from the game are included on his 2015 album Five Worlds of Plarium .

Game rant

According to Julien Codorniou, head of Facebook's European platform partnerships in 2013, the game became one of the top twenty fastest growing games on Facebook worldwide. Adweek's Pete Davison called Stormfall "a very solid addition to the growing line of mid-core strategy titles on the social network" (referring to Facebook) and wrote that it was "solid gameplay, sensible (if somewhat inconsistent) presentation, and ample Things to do."
