history
Plarium was founded in 2009 and initially focused on developing games for the Eastern European casual gaming market, such as with Farmandia for the Russian social network VKontakte. In 2011, Plarium changed its focus to developing massively multiplayer online strategy games. Total Domination was launched in February 2009, a game that to date has more than 20 million users.

Launched in 2011, this massively multiplayer online strategy game is set in a wasteland after the destruction of the earth, where players compete against each other in a battle for territory.
Pirates: Tides of Fortune
The player begins the game as a prisoner stranded on a desert island. He is faced with the task of assembling a fleet of pirates in the fictional realm of Tortuga. Pirates: Tides of Fortune is played by more than 20 million players. The game was launched in February 2012.
Stormfall: Age of War
This medieval MMO strategy game is set in the fictional realm of Stormfall, which is ruled by rival warlords. Facebook's Game Partnership Director Sean Ryan called it an "Attractive Game" when it was released in November 2012.
Total domination: reborn
An iOS version of Total Domination: Nuclear Strategy was launched in June 2013 and a year later, in December 2014, it was also released for Android.
Soldiers, Inc.
This military MMO strategy game is set in the near future in the fictional republic of Zandia, where players create their own armies in order to capture the most resources in the battle of several opposing countries. The game was launched for Facebook in August 2013.
Sparta: War of Empires
Sparta: War of Empires takes place in the 5th century BC BC and is a massively multiplayer online strategy game that puts the player in the middle of the war against Xerxes and his Persian army. King Leonidas is the player's mentor and supports him in creating an army against the opponent. The game was released on Facebook in March 2014.
Stormfall: Rise of Balur
An iOS and an Android version of Stormfall: Age of War was released in January 2015.

During the launch in 2012, Plarium's Stormfall: Age of War was rated a "Top Game". It is one of the fastest growing Facebook apps in terms of monthly user growth.
In 2013, Facebook named Soldiers, Inc. one of the Best New Social Games of the Year.
VentureBeat mentioned Plarium as one of the independent gaming companies still focused on social games and Facebook as a gaming platform. Players currently play an average of three times a day on Facebook. In August 2014, Plarium was named one of the most promising startups in Europe by Madhumita Venkataramanan ( Wired UK). He speculates that the company could become Israel's next billion dollar company if the company goes public in 2015.
Facebook's director of platform partnerships, Julien Codorniou, mentioned Plarium as one of the top international gaming companies for Facebook as a gaming platform.
