Storstappen is an uninhabited island in Norway and belongs to the municipality of Nordkapp in the Norwegian province of Troms og Finnmark .

It is the largest island in the Gjesværstappan archipelago in the Northern European Sea, which is a designated nature reserve . The Stauren peninsula joins on its southwest side . To the southeast is Kjerkestappen . The island of Storstappen is about 1.8 kilometers long including the stauren with a width of up to 1.3 kilometers. It reaches a height of 282 meters. The coasts drop steeply towards the sea.

Storstappen was inhabited in the past, but today there are no permanent residents. The island is known for the colonies of sea birds that live here. So there are at Storstappen the northernmost colony of gannets . The nature reserve to which the island belongs has existed since January 28, 1983.
