The Soviet-Lithuanian Criminal Code (lit. Lietuvos Tarybų Socialistinės Respublikos baudžiamasis kodeksas, LTSR BK ) is the penal code passed by the Lithuanian SSR on June 26, 1961. It was a comprehensive codification of criminal law and the main legal source of Soviet Lithuanian criminal law. The Soviet Lithuanian Criminal Code was prepared according to the Model Code of Soviet Criminal Law and passed by the Supreme Council of Soviet Lithuania. It was still valid for several years after Lithuania's independence, since Soviet law was accepted. The Soviet Lithuanian Criminal Code was superseded by the new Lithuanian Criminal Code and expired on May 1, 2001.
