StrataVision

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

StrataVision (also Stratavision or Strata Vision or StrataVision 3D ) was a 3D software released for the Apple Macintosh Quadra 400 and compatible devices.

technical features

The first version appeared in 1989 and was further developed until 1998 (5.0). The texturing and ray tracing were considered special features, which was a special feature at the beginning of the 1990s.

Purposes

StrataVision was developed for product and architectural display, but was also popular with 3D artists and film amateurs; The latter could now inexpensively cut their own 3D sequences into their films. Short films that were created entirely with StrataVision were also made. StrataVision gained greater fame for the fact that it was used for the individual images and film clips by Myst , although they were still digitally post-processed with Adobe Premier.
