Street workout basics

A typical street workout routine consists of:

  • athletic exercises - a system of exercises with different levels of exertion for strengthening health, building strength and endurance as well as an athletic constitution. Athletic exercises are used to increase strength, develop physical form and for rehabilitation.
  • Isometric Exercises - a type of strength training in which you hold a static position.
  • Calisthenics - a complex of various simple exercises that are only performed with your own body weight. The goal of these exercises is to train muscle strength and develop comprehensive strength.

Street workouts are usually done outdoors or in specially designed street workout parks. Individuals and / or groups can train in urban areas. A typical street workout park looks like a playground with a soft surface and consisting of several bars, masts and other objects for body weight training.
