String Quartet Kaunas

The Kaunas String Quartet (lit. Kauno styginių kvartetas ) is a string quartet from Kaunas , the second largest city in Lithuania . The string quartet was founded in 1981. It was a graduate student at competitions in Tallinn (Estonia, 1983) and Voronezh (Russia, 1987). It had over 2000 concerts in Lithuania, Finland, Norway, Poland, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Argentina, Chile and Denmark. In the repertoire there are more than 300 works. The string quartet recorded 13 CDs .

The string quartet rehearses in the Kaunas Philharmonic .

The musicians are Karolina Beinarytė (1st violin), Dalia Terminaitė (2nd violin), Eglė Lapinskė (alto) and Saulius Bartulis (cello).
