Stribeck pressing

The Stribeck pressure (according to Richard Stribeck ) is the surface pressure between a cylindrical shaft and the bearing shell of a plain bearing . It indicates the load on the plain bearing and is calculated as the load force related to the diameter of the shaft and the width of the bearing shell:

The term Stribeck pressing is rarely mentioned in the specialist literature.
