Strickland Bay is a bay on Rottnest Island in the Australian state of Western Australia . The bay is a popular spot for surfers because the surf is ranked among the 50 best surfs in the world.
The bay has a good view from the Narrow Neck viewpoint .
geography
The 530 meter wide bay opens to the south. It is the seventh-westernmost bay on the island, but the widest of the seven. It is located on the isthmus that connects the two parts of the island. At its thinnest point, this isthmus is only 130 meters wide. North of the bay is Rocky Bay , east is Mary Cove and west is Wilson Bay .
The bay has a 260 meter long sandy beach.
