String Connection is a Polish jazz ensemble. It was founded in 1981 by the violinist Krzesimir Dębski . String Connection was at times the most successful jazz group in Poland.

Details

In the first half of the 1980s, its most productive phase, the international trade magazine “Jazz Forum” selected String Connection as the Polish “Group of the Year” (1982-1984) for three consecutive years.

The group's music, which is characterized by rock rhythms, can be described as fusion jazz . The musicians of the band also play and played in other well-known projects and sometimes appeared as soloists in addition to Dębski, for example, the bassist Krzysztof Ścierański . The group (then initially as a quartet , later also performing as a sextet in Poland and Europe) disbanded in 1987. There was a reunion in 2009.
