Stringtime Niederrhein
The Stringtime Niederrhein (spelling: Stringtime NiederRhein) is a tri-national, annual Easter academy for young string players up to the age of 15, which promotes young talents from Germany , the Netherlands and Poland . It has been taking place in Goch since 1995 .
The Stringtime Niederrhein is a project of the city of Goch. It has been registered as a registered trademark. This string academy is the official follow-up to the state competition Jugend musiziert in North Rhine-Westphalia . Other important partners are the international string course Zenon Brzewski in Lancut (Poland) and the Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland (Netherlands). Every year students from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag take part in the string academy. The string academy consists of individual lessons, chamber music lessons and orchestral rehearsals. The students play in various concerts during the academy.

With the help of the lecturer Boguslaw Jan Strobel from the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and the string teacher Georg Michel, in cooperation with the director of the Goch cultural stage, Helmut Lintzen, the Gocher St (p) ringtime, today's Stringtime Niederrhein , became reality in 1995 .
Awards
In 2008, the String Academy was awarded the 365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas prize , which is part of the Germany - Land of Ideas project . This competition honors innovative projects in Germany.
The String Academy has also been honored internationally for its commitment to promoting music. Helmut Lintzen and the former artistic director of Stringtime Niederrhein, Georg Michel, received an award from the Polish minister of culture for services to Polish culture .
