Stroker Ace is a German hard rock band from Adelmannsfelden .

history

Stroker Ace was founded in early 2006 by Marco “Mo” Riek (guitar), Julian “Julez” Wiedenhöfer (vocals, guitar) and his cousins Benedikt Stegmeier (drums, vocals) and Gunter Stegmeier (bass). Before that, the four played together in the punk-rock band "The Punk-Flash", which was touring on local stages from 2004 to mid-2005. Then it was decided to change to the hard rock line under a new name. After a six-month songwriting and studio phase, the first concert under the name Stroker Ace took place on January 21, 2006. On April 20, the debut album Able To Rock ... followed , which was released on their own. In May a support show for the German band Silbermond followed .

At the end of 2006 Stroker Ace played in a regional band contest and emerged as the winner. In January 2007, the four went to the studio to record a single. This was then finally released on the Stuttgart indie label 24-27 Records . The album Live To Be An Ace, recorded in autumn 2007, was released worldwide on January 26, 2008 via 24-27 Records . The MABESA Promo Tour followed, together with another band of the same label. Shortly thereafter, the band announced that drummer Bene Stegmeier had left the band. The position on drums was taken over by Armin Kohler. At the beginning of March Konstantin Reber was confirmed as the new bass player on the website. In the meantime, the contract with 24-27 Records has been canceled due to different ideas.

Due to the new line-up, the decision was made to go to Herman Frank (guitarist for Accept , Victory , Moon Doc etc.) in Hanover in January 2009 to record the 3-song EP Fuckin 'Classic Hard Rock . The EP was then released on its own on April 19, 2009 and found great sales in the underground scene. In mid-2009 the band announced another line-up change. Bassist Konstantin Reber left the band and was replaced by Timo "Jim" Heide, who had previously been a substitute bassist in the band. At the turn of the year 2010/2011 Stroker Ace were in the studio with music producer Frank Tienemann in Kirchlengern (near Bielefeld). The album Hit The Gas was released on October 5, 2012.
