The Strousberg Railway , in Czech Strousbergova dráha, is an unfinished railway connection in the Czech Republic . It goes back to the Prussian "railway king" Bethel Henry Strousberg , who wanted to use it to connect the manorial coal and iron ore mines with the iron and steel works. The line should lead from Františkov ( Franzensthal ) via Zbiroh , Kařez , Zaječov , Strašice and Dobřiv to Mirošov ( Miröschau ), where a connection to the then Miröschau trade railway was planned. A connection with the Bohemian Western Railway was planned at the former Zbirow station (today Kařízek ) via a branch line.

Construction of the line began in 1868. In 1871, the section between the loading point of the iron mine in Zaječov and the ironworks in Strašice was provisionally put into operation. However, as a result of the economic crisis of 1873 , construction work soon stopped. At this point, the planum from Františkov to Dobřiv was largely complete.

When Bethel Henry Strousberg lost his property in 1875 due to insolvency , operations between Zaječov and Strašice had to be stopped again. Although the communities along the route were interested in further building the route, work was never resumed later. Most of the completed sections are clearly visible in the area to this day. The crossing structure over the Bohemian West Railway east of the Zbiroh station also still exists.
