Struck Island is a small, uninhabited island in Alexandra Bay in Queensland , Australia . It is located about 40 kilometers north of Port Douglas and south of Thornton Beach on Cape Tribulation . Together with East and West Hope Island and Snapper Island , Struck Island forms the Hope Islands , part of the Great Barrier Reef .

The rocky island is 370 meters off the coast of Daintree National Park south of Cape Tribulation . It is located in the Hope Islands National Park in the traditional sea area of ​​the Aborigines of the Kuku Yalanji, who fish, hunt and collect there to this day.

The sea area surrounding Struck Island is administered by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and the island by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service .
