The Strymonites ( Greek Στρυμονῖται Strymonitai ) were a South Slavic tribe in Macedonia in the 7th century. They probably settled on the Struma River ( ancient Greek Στρυμών Strymōn ).

The Strymonites traveled the Aegean to the Marmara Sea with their ships for raids. In 658, the Byzantine Emperor Constans II forced them to pay tribute after a campaign in Macedonia. In 676/678 they besieged the Byzantine city of Thessaloniki with Avars , Drugubites and Rhynchines .
