The plastering iron is a typical professional tool of the plasterer . It is a combination tool that combines two differently shaped spatulas or trowels (see picture). It is made in different sizes and widths. The plastering iron is an indispensable tool for the craftsman for processing and modeling stucco and plaster , especially for fine, detailed and filigree work. It is very helpful when closing drill holes.

The stucco iron is also used in archeology : Here it is used for fine work during an excavation and the preparation / carving out of found objects.
