Student Secretariat

The student secretariat , student secretariat or study secretariat (also known as the student chancellery , student office , study service center , student service center or student's office ) is an administrative office for students and an information point for prospective students at a university , which is responsible for student matters of all kinds.

The secretariat primarily takes care of applications , admissions , enrollments , leave of absence for semesters abroad and internships , de- enrollments and other formalities in the student life cycle. Other information such as statistics and internal and public appointments of the respective university are also managed here. For the testing organization (registration and deregistration for examinations, examination regulations , certified transcript ), however, is the examination office in charge.

In the course of the Bologna reform , many universities introduced campus management systems for IT-supported processing of business processes in the student life cycle.
