The Stummhaus (named after the Stumm brothers and also called Neuer Stahlhof to distinguish it from the neighboring Stahlhof administration building ) at Breite Straße 67 to 69 in Düsseldorf was built from 1922 to 1924 according to plans by Paul Bonatz using the materials and shapes of brick expressionism. The building is regarded as a “prime example of expressionism in architecture ”. The main building is 11 storeys high. The facade is structured by protruding, triangular, vertical pillars. The vertical tendency of the building, visible due to the pillars, marks the "office building gothic" according to Bonatz. The building was repaired from 1949 to 1951 after being damaged during the Second World War.

From 1929 the building became the headquarters of the United Steel Works .

The building is a listed building .
