Sturla Ásgeirsson (born July 20, 1980 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player .

The 1.83 meter tall and 78 kilogram heavy left wing player he played for the clubs Íþróttafélag Reykjavíkur (until 2004) and Århus GF (2004-2008) and was under contract from September 17, 2008 at HSG Düsseldorf . He left the club after the 2009/2010 season. Then Sturla Ásgeirsson signed a contract with the Icelandic club Valur Reykjavík .

Sturla Ásgeirsson has played 58 times for the Icelandic national team , including the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics .
