Ranks in the forestry of the German Democratic Republic
In the forestry of the German Democratic Republic a hierarchical rank system existed until 1990 .
All forestry employees, including forest workers , had the right to wear a forest uniform. The rank system was as follows:
- Forestry apprentice, forestry worker , forestry skilled worker and brigade leader (in practice, however, these terms were not used as a rank)
- Forst candidate of technical schools, forestry candidate of section forestry, forester (in practice theoretically for forestry master), forester, forester (first introduced in the 1980s), the main ranger, forester, forester, land forester , Oberland forester, Colonel country forester, General Forester .
