Submersed

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alga Caulerpa taxifolia , a submerged aquatic plant

When submerged ( submerged , under water alive ) refers to water plants (and fungi ), which completely submerged grow in water.

This type of plant growth is the opposite of the growth of emersed aquatic plants that grow above the surface of the water. A submerged plant, on the other hand, grows entirely under water and cannot develop surface leaves. So they are real aquarium plants.

Examples of submerged growing plants are Vallisneria , Rotala and Streaky Laichkraut (also other types of Laichkraut ). Examples of submerged mushrooms are Vibrissea and some species of Mollisia .
