Subwave is an alternative rock band from Nuremberg , Bavaria .

history

The band was founded in 1997 by Sven Kartscher (vocals, guitar), Guido Seibelt (drums) and Felix Schnetzer (bass) and in 2000 released their first studio album entitled Kurt Cobain , which was discussed in Visions magazine.

The group stayed in this line-up until the release of their second studio album Reject in 2002. After its publication, F. Schnetzer and G. Seibelt left the band for professional reasons. After various line-up changes, the new band members finally found in 2005 with Patrik Leuchauer (bass) and Moritz Krüdener (drums).

In 2006, Kai Wingenfelder of Fury in the Slaughterhouse signed the band on his label Burrofeliz . Under his direction, the first demo recordings were made in the gold mine studio , which in 2007 led to the third Subwave album entitled Fast Forward .

In autumn 2008, the advance maxi CD for the new album was released under the title The End of Our Days . Shortly after completion, Rik Leuchauer left the band and was replaced by the new bassist Frank Schoofs. Both bassists were still working on the recordings for the new CD entitled A Tribute to ... , which was released in April 2009 .
