The Sud-Est Aviation SE.2100 ( SNCASE SE.2100) was a single-engine, two-seat touring aircraft that made its maiden flight in 1945. It was designed as a flying wing aircraft with a pusher propeller . Only one copy was built.

development and construction

Under the direction of Piere Satre, the SE.2100 touring aircraft was built shortly after the end of the fighting. The machine was made of all-metal construction, had a wingspan of 10 m and reached 230 km / h with a 140 hp Renault -Bengali engine. It was steered by elevons and end disc rudders on the wing tips. Automatic slats were installed in the rudder area . With a tank capacity of 140 l, the SE.2100 had a range of around 900 km. The cabin doors, which extended almost the entire height of the fuselage, were a special feature. They could be opened like a car door, with part of the wing nose folding forward with it. This enabled easy entry from both sides. As with the Nieuport SGA 914 in 1932, the SE.2100 was too far ahead of its time. Since no buyers could be found, series production did not take place. In the following years, a few more tailless constructions were built at Sud-Est, the most famous of which is the Delta Fighter SE.212 "Durandal".

The test pilot was Pierre Nadot, chief test pilot of the SNCASE (Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Sud-Est), who flew the machine for the first time on October 4, 1945 in Toulouse. In 1952 the plane still existed, then its tracks are lost.
