Sudesh Maniar

Sudesh Keshavlal Maniar is a Singaporean diplomat.

Career

In 1996 Maniar received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Maniar started working for the Singapore Foreign Ministry in February 1997. There he was Director of Public Affairs, Director of International Economics and Deputy Representative of Singapore to the United Nations and the World Trade Organization in Geneva . Eventually he held the position of General Manager for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

From May 2007 to August 2009 he was Director of Public Affairs at the Asia-Europe Foundation .

From 2014 to 2018 Maniar was Singapore's ambassador to East Timor . He had his official seat in Singapore. In 2018, Roland Ng San Tiong became Singapore's new ambassador for East Timor.

Maniar is married to Loo Beng Du. They have a daughter together.
