Sugarcult is a punk band from Santa Barbara, California ( USA ) whose music is influenced by the style of the 1970s. The name "Sugarcult" comes from a group of lesbians who lived across from the lead singer Tim Pagnotta.

history

Tim Pagnotta met ex-drummer Ben Davis, who was still playing bass at the time, during a break from school. They started playing together until Tim brought in Airin Older, another classmate. Ben took over the drums and Airin played the bass. The guitarist "Marko 72" was brought into the band by Tim after a concert by the band Superdrag . The two met because they wore the same clothes, Marko was accepted into the band without Tim ever hearing him play.

In 2003 drummer Ben Davis left the band, he was replaced by Kenny Livingstone, the drummer of the band Lefty.
