The Sultan's Palace ( Arabic بيت الساحل) is the former main palace of the Sultan in the Sultanate of Zanzibar , today's Tanzanian state of Zanzibar .

The 3-storey palace was built with battlements at the end of the 19th century and is not far from another former sultan's residence, the House of Wonders . After the revolution in Zanzibar in 1964, the palace was in People's Palace , the Palace of the People , renamed and used as a seat of government. Since 1994 the palace has served as the site of a museum.
