Sumter National Forest

The Sumter National Forest is a National Forest in north-western US state of South Carolina , at the southern tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains . The forest designated in 1936 covers an area of ​​1499 km². It is one of two national forests in South Carolina, the other is the Francis Marion National Forest .
