Sunwook Kim
Sunwook Kim ( kor. 김선욱 ; * 1988 in Seoul ) is a South Korean pianist .
Life
Sunwook Kim began playing the piano at the age of three. He studied at the Korea National University of Arts and the Royal Academy of Music in London . Today he lives in London and performs as a pianist with numerous orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra , the Concertgebouw Orchestra , the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin , the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen , the NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg and the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France .
Awards
- 1st prize in the international competition for young pianists Ettlingen 2004
- 1st prize in the 2006 Leeds International Piano Competition
