Supaman real name Christian Parrish Takes the Gun is an American hip hop singer, Indian activist , and powwow dancer from Billings , Montana . He was elected Artist of the Week at MTV on March 21, 2014 . Supaman is a member of the Apsáalooke Indian tribe and grew up in poor conditions on the Crow Nation Reservation and with foster parents in Seattle , Washington . In several Powwows he has achieved leading places in the category 'Fancy feather dance for men'. He became known with his songs 'Prayer Loop Song' and 'Why'. Most of his songs are about grievances on the American Indian reservations, unemployment, poverty, hopelessness, substance abuse and suicide.
