Super Besse is a French winter sports center in the mountainous region of Monts Dore in the Puy-de-Dôme department , built in 1961 at the foot of the Puy de la Perdrix.

The valley station is located in the municipality of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise at an altitude of 1350  m on the Puy de Sancy . The ski area comprises 43 kilometers of alpine slopes and around 125 kilometers of cross-country trails . In summer you can walk the numerous hiking routes and circular trails that start here.

Tour de France

In 2011, Super Besse was the destination of a stage of the Tour de France for the fourth time after 1978, 1996 and 2008 .
