Super Nick

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Super Nick ( Big Nate ) is a comic series by the American cartoonist Lincoln Peirce . In Germany, however, it was not the comics that appeared, but rather eight books with illustrated stories, published by the publisher cbj .

main characters

Nick Wright

Nick Wright is the main character in the series. He doesn't think much of school, which shows on the one hand in his rebellious manner and on the other hand in his rather poor grades. He is firmly convinced that he is destined for greater things. He likes to draw comics, either of himself, of the strange surgeon Dr. Den of Sin or the stuntman Moe Mentum. Nick is afraid of cats and hates Gina. He doesn't have a particularly good relationship with his big sister Ellen either. He is a soccer goalkeeper, enjoys skateboarding and is the founder of the garage band "Enslaved the Mollusks". However, it is very messy and has to be detained a lot. He likes to eat cheese flips, but is not very fond of his father's cooking skills.

Francis Pope

Francis is Nick's best friend. He is a bit nerdy and, unlike Nick, has no problems with school, but is not as obsessed with notes as Gina. He has known Nick since kindergarten.

Teddy Ortiz

Teddy is also one of Nick's best friends. He likes to ridicule Nick, who in turn jokes. He and Nick haven't known each other that long.

Gina Hemphill-Toms

Gina is Nick's absolute archenemy. She always has the grade 1+ everywhere and panics if her average could be in danger. She has spectacular outbursts of anger at times and likes to beat Nick off. She gums up with all teachers. According to Nick, Gina has no life other than school. She is quite unsportsmanlike and probably likes cats.

More characters

classmate

Artur Pashkov

Artur is one of Nick's classmates and also a member of "Enslaved the Mollusc". Nick gets along reasonably well with him, but is often jealous of him. This is partly due to his constant happiness, and partly because he is with Jenny. Artur has a speech impediment that makes him even more popular with girls.

Jenny Jenkins

She is Nick's crush, but is with Artur. Nick often tries to win her back, but he always fails.

Dee Dee Holloway

Dee Dee has appeared since the fourth part and is friends with Nick. Her nickname "Drama Queen" comes from the fact that she likes to exaggerate and dramatize, which is also due to the fact that she is in the theater group.

Chad Applewhite

He is a small, plump boy from Nick's class and also friends with him. He is very knowledgeable about food.

Mary-Ellen Popowski

Mary-Ellen is another classmate and friend of Gina. She is very rare, says she has no sense of humor and likes to play the flute.

The girl whose name Nick always forgets

This girl is also friends with Gina and she firmly believes that boys stink. In addition, she often writes her arms full and believes in unicorns.

Randy Betancourt

From Nick's point of view, Randy is the pain in the ass in his class, always hangs out with a bunch of buddies and likes to bully his classmates.

Kim Cressly

She is in love with Nick and tries to smooch him at every opportunity, otherwise she threatens to spank him.

Marc Blonsky

Marc is a con man who often lies about himself. He's in the fifth part of the break supervisor and was once the editor of the yearbook, which, according to Nick, was disastrous.

Marcus

Marcus is the most popular seventh grade student. They say that what he thinks is great everyone else thinks too. In the sixth part he makes a bet with Nick, which he loses.

Nick's family

Ellen Wright

Ellen is Nick's 15-year-old sister. She has a similar character to Gina, so she is a nerd and Mrs. Godfrey's favorite student. Nick and Ellen have never really liked each other, which is also because Ellen likes three things Nick hates: cats, love songs, and figure skating. She often talks like a waterfall.

Martin Wright

Little is known about Nick's father. He lives alone, doesn't cook well and can't really put himself in Nick's shoes.

Books

There are currently eight parts in German:

See you later, you whistles! ( Big Nate in a class with himself )

Nick always knew that he was destined for something higher. But when he gets a fortune cookie that says " Today you will surpass everyone ", he is sure. Unfortunately, he received seven referrals for his attempts to surpass all of them and still managed to book a record.

You're out, you bottles! ( Big Nate strikes again )

After Nick has already broken the detention record, there are now two new tricky tasks for him. For one thing, he has to win the softball cup, the SPOFY; on the other hand, a social studies essay on Benjamin Franklin has to be written. Unfortunately, his most terrible archenemy gets in the way of both tasks.
