history

Superar was founded in 2009 by the Wiener Konzerthaus , the Vienna Boys' Choir and Caritas of the Archdiocese of Vienna with the aim of providing musical support to children and young people who have little or no access to cultural support. The non-profit organization was initially named “Vorlaut” and renamed Superar in 2011 in order to be able to take the first step towards an international organization.

Currently around 3,200 children and young people in seven different countries ( Austria , Bosnia and Herzegovina , Slovakia , Romania , Switzerland , Liechtenstein , Hungary ) are being taught in various music programs.

Superar is inspired by Venezuela's El Sistema , founded in 1975 by José Antonio Abreu , and is part of the Sistema Europe Network .
