Superman: Ride of Steel in Six Flags America ( Upper Marlboro , Maryland , USA ) is a steel roller coaster of the Mega Coaster model manufactured by Intamin , which opened on May 13, 2000. A mirror-inverted system runs under the name Ride of Steel in Six Flags Darien Lake . The layout of the track has two large helices , several airtime hills and a long straight. A similar train runs under Bizarro (formerly also Superman: Ride of Steel ) in Six Flags New England .
