The Suriname President's Cup is the Supercup of the Surinamese Football Association . At the start of the season, the national champion and first of the Eerste Divisie and the cup winners ( Beker van Suriname ) play against each other. In addition to the presidential cup, the winner has received USD 25,000 since 2013 and the losing club receives a trophy USD 10,000.
As a rule, the prizes are not only presented by the President of the Republic of Suriname , but also made available.
The bonuses for the cup winners and the losing team were brought back to USD 10,000 and USD 5,000 in 2015.
history
The Supercup was held for the first time in the 1993 season. The first President's Cup went to Politie Voetbal Vereniging (PVV), which defeated SV Transvaal 2-1.
