Susanne Bluma

Susanne Bluma (born April 18, 1961 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and works councilor. She has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council since 2009 . Bluma is married and has one son.

education and profession

Bluma passed the Matura in June 1980 and began her professional career in November 1980 at the Public Employees Insurance Company (BVA). She was then employed in the Provincial Office for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland, Services department until April 1982, and then moved to the main office in the department for compulsory insurance and contributions until June 1997. She then worked in the performance policy department of the main office between July 1997 and October 2006 and was promoted to deputy head of the internal audit department in the main office in November 2006.

Bluma was a member of the Federal Committee of the Social Insurance Section and was active as a works councilor and central works council member of the BVA. In addition, she is the federal parliamentary group leader of the parliamentary group of social democratic trade unionists in the BVA.

Bluma joined the SPÖ in 1980. She is one of four deputy district party chairmen of the SPÖ Floridsdorf and was district councilor in Vienna-Floridsdorf between 2001 and 2009. From 2004 to 2008 she held the office of club chairman in the district council of Vienna-Floridsdorf. As the next step in Bluma's career as a professional politician, she was appointed by her party as deputy district head from 2008 to 2009. Bluma has been a member of the Viennese state parliament and councilor since June 24, 2009. She also holds the following offices: Vice-chairwoman of the district women team, head of the education committee of the SPÖ Vienna-Floridsdorf, activity as a political functionary in the adult education center Vienna-Floridsdorf, woman president of the Floridsdorf cultural association "FORUM21".
