Susanne Wegscheider

Susanne Wegscheider (born May 16, 1953 in Linz ) is an Austrian entrepreneur and politician ( ÖVP ). In 2003 she briefly represented the ÖVP in the National Council .

education and profession

From 1959 to 1962, Susanne Wegscheider attended the elementary school of the Kreuzschwestern and the economics secondary school in Körnerstraße in Linz, where she graduated in 1971 with the Matura. In 1974 she also attended the food retail trade school in Neuwied am Rhein.

Wegscheider worked as an entrepreneur in the game and fish shop on Südbahnhofmarkt between 1974 and 2003 .

politics

Wegscheider is involved in the organization “ Frau in der Wirtschaft ” in the Chamber of Commerce , where she is deputy district chairwoman in Linz and, since 2003, deputy state chairwoman. She is also involved in the Wirtschaftsbund , where she is the district chairwoman in Linz and the regional chairman's deputy. Since 2001, Wegscheider has also been a member of the City Party Board of the ÖVP Linz. After the formation of the government in spring 2003, Wegscheider moved to the National Council on March 5, 2003 on a mandate that had become vacant. However, she resigned from the National Council on November 6, 2003 and on that day took over the city council post for economy, markets and green spaces in Linz.

Wegscheider is the chairwoman of the supervisory board of TechCenter Linz-Winterhafen Errichtungs- und Betriebsgesellschaft mbH and is the deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the Design Center Linz Betriebsgesellschaft mbH.

Private

Wegscheider is married and has one son.
